Isn’t it such a “I already know, you don’t have to tell me” kinda response?

I’m becoming increasingly jaded by spouts of nonsense all over.

Nobody deny anybody’s experience alright? Later people shoot you (email) when you least expect you know..

Such a world we live in.

Wonder if the position is still open…

To sum up yesterday’s work day, all were up and about in the far east of Singapore even before dawn. Cabbed home mid-afternoon to churn out some frantic e-mails.. And was out the door again in a jiffy, arm flailing for another blue vehicle.

Magazine fix, then Aston’s for dinner with Mr Yeow *rubs tummy* *mmmm* before a little walk around Marine Parade where we chanced on this provision shop which stocked a whole lot of old school goodies from our childhood memories. I have a photo which I had trouble loading up last evening.. Hmm.

Stuff like Roller Coaster, Ligo and Sunmaid raisins (the tiny red packets!), Apollo wafers, Milton mints, Kopiko candy and those prunes.. What brand are they again? And stuff I can only recognise by packaging. $12 for a container of Fizzy Cola which seemed bloody expensive until we learnt that there were 350 pieces of cola candy, which works out to 3 cents a piece.. Not so bad after all! Hahaha..

Finally saw the doc on Friday evening and was promptly put on a strict “no fried food, no citrus fruits and no cold drinks” diet and a day’s medical leave.

My body seems to welcome the drowsiness induced by the cough syrup, for I’m much better already, save for the occasional hacking.. Bleargh.

For some reason, I’m feeling rather excited about the near future – I do not know why, since I can’t put a finger to what in particular. Maybe the prospects of getting new gadgets, planning my next vacation or welcoming Christmas altogether. Or new shoes. Or pay day. Or maybe just the Singapore GP weekend. Of which I have to work lah, but still..

Haha.. Cheers to a new work week! :)

Today, the brother swaps his pink identity card for 11B.

I miss the dude already! He usually walks out of his room to say hi when I get home.. I did not make the trip to accompany him to Tekong this morning, but Mum got pretty excited relating everything to me when I got home. Managed to speak to him briefly a moment ago.. May it be a smooth transition!

Looking forward to see him in two weeks!

How true..

A love-lay weekend all in all. Football and good company.

Will still stick to keeping a clear line between work and personal life, cos I think its damn unhealthy not to. ;)

Meanwhile I’m still coughing, but my lungs are probably not in any danger of shooting up my oesophagus. I hereby retract this, for I AM now coughing my lungs out. This sucks. Must be nasi lemak dinner + nasi lemak lunch today (sheer coincidence).

And no, ice cream will not help.

I take back the last post.

11 days straight now, I am now trying to suppress the growing pain in my throat. Tough, since I develop insatiable tastebuds for all things fried or sweet when I’m sick. The bland taste of water does not help.

Not to mention I have wrecked my other good heels. The fabric split is rather beyond repair. Wonder if VINCCI delivers from Malaysia… My one week old flats are already seasoned and are very starting to become stinky! ITS AWFULLY TERRI-GIBLE. 3 pairs of shoes in 2 weeks =(

You make the most progress now not by striving to get ahead in your career, but by integrating your spiritual beliefs into your everyday life. You may have to step down from a lifestyle that has grown less and less attractive, but you’ll be happier in the long run if you are doing work that is consistent with your soul’s purpose.

What A Blue Day! September 3, 2008

Not literally, definitely.. Well, in case you haven’t heard – Robinho joins City! Splashed in colour across the first page of the ST Sports section I believe.

Interestingly, the Man City fan was actually last to know. Being the big fan he is, I suppose everybody assumed he knew, me included. :P Check out the all round smile, even as he was grumbled about how “nobody cares..“.

But even so, the good news has kept him rather hyper in what I believe to be, the last 24 hours. I’ve never seen him so excited and enthusiatic since.. I don’t know man! Haha.. I mean, the dude couldn’t even finish his burger!

Two days in, & the week is going fine. Managed to join Jon & his friends yesterday evening & popped by Kazbar. A pleasant surprise because we met JP, who was bar manager when I was doing my hotel training back in 2006.

I’m quite drained today & don’t feel good physically. After this evening, my right arm feels like a separate entity from my body. I stepped into a pothole yesterday & I probably wrecked my good pumps (@#$% pothole!) and thus, my left foot is now not responding well. Weak laugh

Mentally, I’m rather psyched up (fortunately, sorry to disappoint) & my to-do list, though endless, is keeping my spirits up. Which is great. And of course time is a luxury, and until someone develops teleportation.. Commuting remains a bitch. I really don’t mind the travelling, but the amount of time it zaps up is ginormous. I can do a lot of things in that time lor. Beam me to the office!
